I’ve never been the one to sugar coat things, but it’s for the best. Even with this being said there are still some very viable ways to make money online, very viable actually, but they do take work!

That’s exactly what we’ll be going over today, we’ll be going over what I’ve seen work for me and others without all the hype and overzealous claims.

Without further a due, lets get into it, here’s…

Real ways on how to make a full time income online

Notice how I emphasized full time, exactly, I’m not going to be going over making a few dollars here and there, these are opportunities that are completely doable and can generate a full time income.

With this list I will also be providing reference material throughout, so if you’re ready to take action you’ll have info. on how to get started.

1. Selling On Amazon

Coming out the gates with Amazon, maybe you’re sick of hearing it, but Amazon can be a great way to earn some extra cash online.

Even beyond that Amazon has been the launching point for several successful online business today!

Now there are three different ways you can sell on Amazon:

  • You can sell you’re own things, miscellaneous items, etc. to turn a quick profit.
  • You can practice Online and Retail Arbitrage
  • You can private label you’re own products and sell them as your own

If you’re not making money using Amazon already these can be a great way to start getting some online income going in.

So lets cover what I mean by the three…

Selling your own things

When I’m saying selling your own things I’m not saying go and clean out your whole house and sell it on Amazon, I’m talking about everything you don’t use or want anymore.

Got some old books you’re never going to read, some stuff you bought and never opened? Someone might want them, try listing them!

Whatever it is, if it complies with Amazon’s standards and can be placed for sale why not make some money off it?

You can sign up for an Individual Seller Account completely free and when you sell the product amazon just charges a .99c fee for using their selling platform.

Of course you will be responsible for shipping the product, but that’s nothing a quick UPS pick up can’t handle.

Just be sure your listing price takes into consideration Amazon’s fee and shipping, to ensure you make a profit.

Note: You can even take it up a notch and go hit up some garage sales for some good deals and turn around and list it on Amazon, I’ve heard of some people making very good money doing this. Just some food for thought.

Online and Retail Arbitrage (Great for new sellers on Amazon)

Probably one of the longest practiced business models out there, all Arbitrage is, online or retail is simply the practice of buying a product at a low price and selling it higher.

Not to get confused with sourcing from China or private labeling, Arbitrage is the dealing in other company’s products.

The only difference between the two (online and retail) is the sourcing of the products, one you can get by shopping online sales and clearance sections on sites, and the other you find at brick and mortar stores.

Where Amazon comes in the picture is how you utilize their storefront to find these hot opportunities and sell using their online platform.

Now there is a science to this and isn’t as simple as buying a few items half off and slapping them on Amazon, there are a lot of details that go in-between.

>>I talk about the whole process in more detail here. Just scroll down to the “Online and Retail Arbitrage” section.

Arbitrage is generally low risk and can turn a profit fairly quickly, if you’re new to selling on Amazon, this can be a great way to start learning the ropes, all while making a fairly decent income.

Private labeling (For the heavy hitters)

To break it down for you private labeling can be broken down into three steps:

Picking a product & sourcing with a supplier->

Private labeling (branding) your product->

Selling the product to your customer base->

Now I’m being very, very vague here, this isn’t something for the faint of hear, but if you’re serious about creating a thriving online business, this might be it.

Lets talk more about these three steps and how Amazon comes into the picture…

Amazon is a great place to get your starting point in launching your business, while also using it to gauge product opportunities and see what’s selling across different markets.Fulfillment By Amazon

On top of that they have a great program called FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) where they package, store, and ship your products for you so you’re not left with a garage full of inventory. (for a fee of course)

Something to keep in mind though is starting a physical products business is no cheap endeavor.

Expect to pay anywhere from $1,000 – $3,000 for initial inventory and another $500 – $1,000 for additional fees such as shipping, marketing, etc.

Keep in mind though it’s not like you’re burning this money, you’re investing it for a profit, a substantial profit from where you can then invest back into your business and scale from there.

Now there are an absolute ton of details left out here, so I’ll leave it to the training program that taught me,, and see if they can fill in the gaps for you.

>>>They’re developing a breakthrough in online business creation education called Brand Genesis and I highly recommend checking it out!

This can be something that can be highly lucrative if done correctly, but if you’re someone who is a little tight on money, I would suggest holding out on this one until you’re a little more financially stable.

2. Affiliate Marketing

Probably one of the most popular forms of generating online income is Affiliate Marketing, from it’s low cost start up and ability to diversify it’s great for beginners in online business.

So much in fact it’s how I got my start! I’m a firm believer that Affiliate Marketing can be very lucrative, if done correctly, but it does take time.

Lots of it too, you probably won’t see the results of your labor until after a few months of putting consistent work into your business, to some this might be a deal breaker, but building a cash flow out of nothing is no easy task.

For those of you not familiar lets briefly go over what Affiliate Marketing is, Affiliate Marketing is:

“…a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts.”

Essentially what this is saying is that this is a type of online marketing that company’s or sellers practice where online marketers (us/Affiliates) promote their products and in return get compensated for a percentage of the sale price.

It’s like the company’s way of saying thanks for getting them that sale.

Here’s a little breakdown on how it works:

Affiliate Marketing

  1. Choose an Interest- Anything from a hobby, interest, passion of yours, anything really.
  2. Build a Website- Pretty self explanatory, this will be your digital footprint with this business.
  3. Get Rankings & Visitors- You get people to your website.
  4. Earn Revenue- Getting the fruits of your labor and seeing results for all that hard work.

Basically all you’ll need to get started is:

  • A domain
  • Website
  • Hosting for your site

All together with the program I use I pay $47 a month for hosting along with training, and community access with the recurring annual payment being $14.99 for my domain. Not to bad for just starting out.

>>You can check them out here, you’ll get training, free website templates, and creation, along with hosting all for a flat rate!

I highly recommend this for someone who’s looking to start off in online business but wants to ease their way into it. If this is you, here’s a Beginners Guide to get you started.

Create Video Tutorials

This is something a little different from the others but can be lucrative if you go at it the right way.

We’ve all heard of paid video tutorials, either in the form of workout routines on DVD’s or tapes, even things like Rosetta  Stone are video series.

They all also have something in common…

They solve a problem! If that’s losing weight, lack of knowledge, or someone lacking a skill, these video tutorials serve the purpose of delivering a solution (your video tutorial) for their problem.

What can you create? What skill or knowledge do you have that you think someone would be willing to pay for?

  • Maybe you’re skilled with building computers and people are always asking how you do it?
  • Maybe you’re really talented at doing hair of makeup?
  • Maybe you’re a talented web designer?

There’s three ideas right there, these are all skill and knowledge that other people are looking for and would love someone to break it down and show it to them!

It’s you using your skill or knowledge to fix someone else’s problem.

For some this might seem like a waste of time, but maybe for some of you this was the spark you needed to get the ball rolling, that’s why I felt the need not to leave this out.

This can even be applied to an online service.

You can offer online services like tutorials, graphic design, things of that nature where your clients will pay you an hourly rate or set rate for your services.
